Happy

I've been told that I must be happy because my blogging has slowed down. I have been so busy getting back to happy and normal that I have failed to realize that I stopped complaining! So I have been jogging my bwains to find something that I am not happy about. I am Debbie Downer after all!

Today's lesson, boys and girls, is about boundaries! Since H and I have been back we have had to deal with the close proximity of family. Don't get me wrong, we both love our dysfunctional "Spechelle" families very much and are glad they're nearby, but they have been giddy at the fact that we are back in town. This causes a number of phenomenons: 1) They call quite often in hopes of seeing us, borrowing our truck, asking us to help them with some household project, and calling us just to let us know what's going on with them in general. 2) They assume that we are available for all of the items listed in #1 since H is at work alot, we're nearby, and we have no kids. We love to help our families and spend time with them but we have been used to having alot of time to ourselves when we were in SJ. We are not in SJ anymore (HALLELUJAH!!), we're in MD and we own a house and we have many many tasks on our "homeowner do" list. Because of this list we no longer have all the free time we had before and we're glad! So we've had to implement a few boundaries with the fams and surprisingly it's working. Well it's working for the most part. They haven't stopped any of the items mentioned in #1, but I guess the change is actually in us. :)

Glad to see you (and everyone else) adjusting! And did I mention glad you're back in town?

Oh and hey, can I borrow your truck?? ;)
