Yay for Home

I am SO glad to be home, and by home I mean the area that we live in. It's beautiful - all the trees, hills, flowers and convenient pretty shopping centers. :) The food is awesome here. We have every type of restaurant you could ever want. In SJ I actually had someone tell me (in response to the news of a new chain restaurant coming to the area) "like that's what we need - another restaurant", as in 'we have too many restaurants'! YEAH RIGHT! They should visit here and then they will know what an abundance (notice I did not say "too many" because there is no such thing) of restaurants looks like. I'll forgive them. They were born and raised in SJ. Poor sheltered thing.

I feel like I lost a year of my life up there. My first reaction is to say it was a waste but I cannot because H and I both felt we needed to leave this area and go "somewheres" else. We learned alot, grew alot and I feel, matured alot this year. Our marriage is better for it. Like I've said before - God likes to sharpen me the hard way. I don't hold any grudge against Him because if we had not left this area then we would never have fully realized how awesome it is. We needed an outside view. Just like my SJ friend needs.
